In 2017, HOF initiated the activity of making colony lane in Najafgarh, prior to that the issue of the wastewater from the houses was coming on the road because of the non-existence of proper drainage system in the colony.
“HOF start working how to routing the waste water from the houses to the nearest empty plots. It will help in protecting the road by water clotting on roads whether waste water or rain water.”
Planning for the Activity: HOF starts working on how to routing the wastewater from the houses to the nearest empty plots. The same set of labourers will work for the drainage system as well, the residents arrange the required things from local vendors. Fundraising for the Activity: It was decided that the colony people will contribute by themselves for the expenses incurred in the activity and paid the contractors and suppliers. Activity Day: HOF helped them in strategising to get the things done effectively. The drain should take the waste-water to the nearest empty plot, but also have to keep it in mind that if anybody builds a house on the empty plot then they will not face any problem. Then the water reroutes to the next nearest empty plot.
Closure of the Activity: The activity was done within 10 days. Now after accomplishing the activity, the lane was saved from damaging by water clotting whether it is from house waste or rainwater; everything is routed to the empty plots. Everybody thanked us for the idea and support in completing the work.
